    The message "Connected to the Internet but not connected to the network" appears.

    Hello.
    I have installed Kali linux on a slightly older PC (ThinkPad X250). (Bare metal)
    But I get a message that I am connected to the internet but not connected to the network (FireFox)

    Can someone please help me?

    In firefox settings -> general..

    look down bottom of page for network settings,

    choose 'automatic proxy settings', save and then try quitting firefox and re-launching.

    Your image shows you have a local IP wireless connection, 192.168.11.7 so you should be able to get online.

    Then you either have a DNS issue or your connection is not being forwarded,

    can you ping an outside connection;

    ping google.com

    or check your ip route;

    traceroute google.com

    Hello, I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
    Sorry for the late reply.
    I have run it.
    Execution result
    Ping google.co.jp
    Unknown name or service.

    traceroute google.co.jp
    Unknown name or service.
    Cannot handle "host" cmdline arg `google.co.jp` on position (argc 1)

    Looks like a DNS issue.

    To confirm, try pinging its IP;

    172.217.164.142

    if thats successful then you need to configure your DNS settings.
