    Slow access to repos

    Hello all,

I understand that with all the hype around the release, people are storming the repos with requests.
Is anyone else experiencing slow access while installing or upgrading packages or is it just me ?

I haven't even been able to connect to them today, so no, it isn't just you.

No it's not just you... it is very slow even if I have a fast connection. I just commented on other post about it. I say in 1/2 week it will be much better.

I think connection is slow ...
I checked the repo, does this look yours?

    root@backtrack:~# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
    #

    # deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 7.0 _Kali_ - Official Snapshot i386 LIVE/INSTALL Binary 20130311-20:38]/ kali contrib main non-free

    #deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 7.0 _Kali_ - Official Snapshot i386 LIVE/INSTALL Binary 20130311-20:38]/ kali contrib main non-free

    ## Security updates
    deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free

No, you are obviously missing the correct repos in your source list.
Should look more like this -> http://pastebin.com/5cUsiBZr

Also, please search the forum for this info there are a lot of posts with people discussing the sources

    Thanks,
    Eric
