Some help needed. We are trying to install a flavor of linux onto a macbook pro a1707. Some background information, the tiny battery connector is broken after we changed the shattered screen a couple of years ago. So, when running MacOS, the battery is never charged, and we have to use power adapter all the time. Now, we are trying to wipe the MacOS and install a flavor of linux on it. We tried Fedora. But, then, the computer will power off as soon as it is trying to install from a USB drive. We tried Ubuntu, we got the same thing. The only thing that worked a little bit is Kali. We successfully installed it. But, the computer will just shutdown couple of seconds after logging in from the GUI. Right now we can login from the terminal, though. So, we come here to see if anyone has a clue on what we can try. Thanks in advance.
