Hello Everyone, first time poster, first time user of Kali. I look forward to learning a lot.

I have isntalled Kali Linux on my Asus X551M. I have just purchased a new battery and installed it (It's internal on these **** machines). The UI shows that the battery is not charging. Furthermore, after installing acpi

apt-get install acpi

I ran the following command to check battery levels:

acpi -ib

My output is the following:

Battery 0: Unknown, 0%
Battery 0: design capacity 2200 mAh, last full capacity 2111 mAh = 95%

This shows me that the battery is not charging. When I pull the battery out I test it with a MultiMeter and see that it is holding a change greater than the rated value (Which is good)
This also means that the battery IS changing but showing as it is.

Maybe there is something wrong with the drivers and not allowing the system to see that it has a change.

As of now, I can not unplug my laptop.

Any advice?
