I would say wpa2, but both are really, secure depending on the strength of your password. wpa2 is newer than wpa, and tkip is different than aes (where it is generally supported that aes is stronger in encryption).

Thanks for replying.
so what would be used to crack it? It don't show up in wash.

If you really want to understand wireless testing from aircrack perspective, start here-

I am not quite sure why you are focused on wash. If you want to test your router's WPS capability, just Google how to use reaver.

My suggestion is as you have these questions, Google them first. YouTube is also rich with video tutorials.
I think it would also help everyone here if you post screenshots terminal output of the following:
cat /proc/version
wash -i mon0
lsusb
airmon-ng
Press enter after each command.
If you would like to learn more about wireless security there is a great series of video tutorials at http://www.securitytube.net/groups?o...view&groupId=9. You will also find some videos about wpa/wpa2 in there.
thank you very much.
WPA2 is a newer and improved version of WPA. Improvements include security also. There isn't any good reason (other than legacy support) to use the older technology.
