Dual boot Windows 10 and Kali in UEFI

After first attempting to install Kali through a USB following the provided steps on the forums for Windows 7, the Grub menu didnt appear on start up and booted to windows instead.

Second attempt was installing while in Legacy mode which worked with Grub appearing on start up but no windows was listed. And windows could only be accessed by changing back to UEFI which is a hassle.

In the end I followed steps provided on the forums by another user for UEFI installation which didnt work either.

Im out of ideas as to what to do to get this to work correctly.

did you try on this step when boot into kali "update-grub" ?

Ill give that a try, but wont windows still not boot up since it was installed in UEFI mode not Legacy?

Edit: I did "update-grub" and it did not do anything.
