I was able to get it from one of the default repo's. See below:

    Code:
    root@shutupkyle:~# apt-cache policy chromium
    chromium:
      Installed: 24.0.1312.68-1
      Candidate: 24.0.1312.68-1
      Version table:
     *** 24.0.1312.68-1 0
            500 http://http.kali.org/kali/ kali/main amd64 Packages
            100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
    root@shutupkyle:~#
    Kali Linux Tools

Hi Sw1p3r! You can install chrome directly from https://www.google.com/intl/es/chrome/browser/ getting .deb package.
Default installation directory is : /opt/google/chrome

To launch it add --user-data-dir=<path> PATH = any directory to save conf (Chrome does not can be launched has root)

To remove icons on the taskbar use SUPER+ALT+RIGHT CLICK and you will see the remove option.
