Broken install after cancelled sudo apt full-upgrade -y

What have you tried:
I was full upgrading the machine with command sudo apt full-upgrade -y, the command executed fine, downloaded all the necessary stuffs and it was unpacking to install all the downloaded packages, but suddenly by PC switched off on its own.

I did the following stuffs:

  1. sudo dpkg --configure -a and i got some errors
  2. sudo apt --fix-broken install
  3. Tried to purge all the conflicting stuffs but still am getting errors.

What is the error:

Just to clarify, even after you ran this, you’re still getting the error you posted?

dpkg is a lower level package manger, and apt uses dpkg under the hood, so you are trying to use repair techniques for both that don’t fix the underlying issue.
