and no, this isnt a VM, i have been trying for days to get this to work, youtube and all that works fine, just not github, in fact, i am typing this in kali right now.
i think this happened to me if you can connect to github on other devices on the network then it might be your firefox version try to check your firefox version if it doesn’t match 128.11.0esr it means it’s the old built in kali firefox which doesn’t get updates for some reason try to install firefox esr latest version now is 128.11.0esr link https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

I’m confused, this very much looks like you don’t have internet access.
When you say that “everything else works fine”, do you mean other apps?
What I’m getting at, is it just your terminal that seems problematic, but if you just straight up open a browser it works just fine?
i can connect to specific sites like youtube, google, or the kali things, but thats it
everything else gets blocked or smth,
and i have a dual-boot if that has to do with anything
nah dual boot is good but i think your internet is the main reason as i said try to connect to these websites using another device to see if it’s a kali problem or internet
is there like any other way to get a github program on linux?
cuz i wanted to get TGPT to test it out
its kali btw, cuz i can enter github just fine on windows or laptop.

git clone doesnt work in general because it cant connect to some port or smth

What kind of internet connection do you use? Is this like a corporate network that’s going through its own firewall?
Did you setup a proxy of some sorts?
And just to clarify: If you visit that exact repo through a browser, does it load there without issues?
i dont have any proxys, im to dumb to set one up, and no, it doesnt load either, i turned firewall off cuz it told me to, so i did, but i still got that error
