The following is the Kali Linux Community Code of Conduct present on all Kali Linux community platforms

Kali Linux is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for Kali Linux users, information security professionals, and enthusiasts. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and guidelines to which all members, including staff, are expected to follow to ensure a positive and respectful community experience.

General Principles

  1. Respect and Professionalism:

    • Treat all community members with respect and professionalism.
    • Avoid personal attacks, insults, or offensive language.
  2. Relevance and Stay on Topic:

    • Keep discussions focused on Kali Linux and information security related topics.
  3. Helpful and Constructive Contributions:

    • Encourage helpful and constructive contributions.
    • Provide guidance to those seeking assistance.
    • Ensure all members are provided a voice and feel safe to ask whatever question they have.
  4. Avoid Plagiarism:

    • Give credit to the original authors when sharing information.
    • Do not plagiarize or present someone else’s work as your own.
  5. No Malicious Activities:

    • Do not engage in, discuss, or request help with malicious activity.
    • Report any discussions that may violate this rule.
  6. Privacy and Security:

    • Actively prevent the sharing of information which may be maliciously used to target individuals.
    • Prioritize privacy and security in discussions and contributions.
  7. Moderation and Reporting:

    • Report any issues, conflicts, or inappropriate behavior to moderators or administrators.
    • Respect and adhere to the decisions made by moderators and administrators.
  8. Respect Different Opinions:

    • Acknowledge and respect diverse opinions within the community.
    • Do not engage in discrimination and actively discourage it.

Staff and Community Moderator Responsibilities

  1. Moderation and Reporting:

    • Report any issues, conflicts, or inappropriate behavior to other staff members and moderators.
    • Address reported issues promptly and impartially.
    • Respect and adhere to the decisions made by fellow staff members or moderators.
  2. Respect Different Opinions:

    • Acknowledge and respect diverse opinions within the community.
    • Facilitate open and constructive discussions.
