Kali Linux too small in VM

Hello,

I am using Kali Linux in VirtualBox (in Windows) on 14 inch laptop.
When I open Kali everything is very small and is difficult to work for a longer period of times. (but is readable). I adjust whatever I can (for ex. the terminal, zooming in the browser) but some things I cannot fix like the browser’s URL bar, etc.
I tried a few solutions like the Kali HiDPI mode, but then everything becomes very large. I tried to fix it with the Display > scaling setting but then I receive huge amount of lag and is impossible to work on it.
I also tried to change the virtual screen’s size (in the VM’s toolbar “View” option), which fixes the issue but everything is pixelated.

I searched around the web, but again with no result.

If you can assist me in fixing this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

What kind of display do you have? Is it supposed to have HiDPI?

make sure you have virtual box guest additions installed;

and in virtual box settings;
View > Auto-resize Guest Display

Then set the size you want in Kali settings and it should stay at that size.

Sorry for the late response,

Guest additions are installed, and I tried with the View setting - still the same result.
