Kali-Linux under WSL after install will not update

What have you tried: Google search, Gemini search, WSL documentation, GitHub/WSL

What is the error: Discovered that immediately after initial startup, journalctl reveals this error message: Failed to attach 231 to compat systemd cgroup '/user.slice/user-1000.slice/[email protected]/in>

Process ID 231 is this command: /usr/lib/systemd/systemd --user

What device is this on: Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2

I am not sure, but this might be related to a bug in the OOBE script on the new Kali WSL distro. You may have to wait a bit until it’s fixed and pushed.
