are you dual booting Kali?
using WSL?
you need to give far more information on your set up for us to help you at all.
if you are using a virtual machine, then you will need to configure the vm manager to allow file access.
Likewise for WSL and if your dual booting, and you have bitlocker enabled you can’t access a windows encrypted drive!
im using a pendrive to run linux on this piece of crap i dont have a password to log into windows on the main disc i have 2 laptops i think i can try ty crack the password by pluging the pendrive to the other computer and connecting them its not a virtual machine im turning it on with boot menu with usb perscilenc
You don’t need Kali to reset a Windows password, maybe there is something that Kali can offer, but I won’t do that. Hiren’s Boot CD ISO is a free tool you can download and live boot to reset your Administrator password.
If on the other hand you try to cd to your desktop, then remember that Linux is case sensitive and
desktop
does not equal Desktop
