What method did you you use to re-install your firmware?
Well I just tried older Kali installs (all the way back to 2018.1) and none of them worked for me. However instead of getting the issue in dmesg. The device just won?t show any networks. However the...
Drivers and such are worth a shot, I have tried myself and haven't had anything fix it. However mine is giving issues in dmesg, it was fine until 2019.4 with my AWUS036NEH. Seems like it's a kernel...
Seems like a lot of people are having firmware issues with wireless on the last two kernal updates, myself included.
Update: on 2020.1 now, still having the same issue. Wonder what changed with these newest updates.
I have also tried reinstalling firmware-ralink, to no avail.
Myself, and others based on the forums lately, seem to be having firmware/driver issues with USB and built-in wireless. Some people have stated downgrading their drivers from the ones Kali ships with...
I'm having the same issue after updating but with what Kali shows as a RT2870/RT3070 (ALFAAWUS036NEH). Would the fix in /lib/firmware work the same way? Minus the linked Github Driver of course.
I'm having the exact same issues, I think I also say similar ones on the thread too.
Confirmed other dongles and chip-sets are working through the same USB ports.
I've only got 3.0 on this laptop, they worked fine prior.
Internal Wi-Fi is fine.
"Unstable Hardware" huh, let me see if I can try another USB Wi-Fi to see.
After running a full update/upgrade on my Kali machine, my AWUS036NEH has stopped working, other Windows and Linux machines work just fine with it. Before it was just plug and play, but now when I...
Found the solution online right after posting this .
I recently updated my Kali box and after a reboot I can't sign in with the root account using the GUI, I've gone in with tty and single user mode and can sign in just fine there with the same...
I was able to fix it, turns out I was looking that it might of been GRUB, turned out to be Xorg.conf was missing so I configured Xorg to make a 'xorg.conf.new' then copied that to /usr/X11 and...
Recently I updated my Kali install, after a reboot, it seems like Xorg isn't starting up correctly. It goes through all the scrolling text on screen. Then normally I have black screen with a cursor,...
Problem was fixed for me after upgrading to 2018.4.
I get the same thing on my Laptop, I don't think it has to do with tech specs since you're getting the same results on a much more powerful system. I've even had it on VM's and fresh hardware...
Three months later and I have Gnome 3.30.1, and Kali 4.18 and the same issue is still happening.
I've got Kali 4.16.0 installed on an Early 2013 13" Macbook Pro. When I'm booted into GNOME, I can change the screen brightness and it shows the UI pop-up shwoing the brightness level, however if I...
