Missing modules (cat/proc/modules)

I was trying to increase my file system storage space using the live Gparted but then I can?t log back into the system?? any help will be appreciated

So you used a Live Linux USB to alter the partition layout on an installed fixed disk on the main machine, and broke the installation..
What is the other system? windblows, linux?

At what point does it fail, does it try to boot, just won't log in, then you could try resetting the user password, depending on the Live USB you had, depends on tools there..
