So I decided to try something a little more daring than usual, and installed Kali on 100GB of space from an External HDD I had.
My internal HDD is fully occupied by Windows 7.
The problem is, I accidentally installed GRUB to the internal HDD, so if I ever tried to boot without the external HDD plugged in, it would take me to GRUB rescue.
So I restored MBR on my internal HDD and now I can't boot Kali from the external one.
I looked up some methods to install GRUB to external hdd, and I found the same problem, fixed, only on Ubuntu
I tried to re-do the steps, booted into the live dvd, installed grub from repo's, but when i tried to run find /boot/grub/stage1 it just hanged there with no response.
So I am looking for a way to install GRUB to the external HDD, (sdb), without having to reinstall Kali from scratch.
Edit :Solved by re-installing Kali
