Find Router Make and Model Over Wi-Fi

PLEASE DON'T USE THESE PROGRAMS IN ANY WAY THAT CAN GET YOU IN TROUBLE. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO WITH THIS GUIDE AND THESE TOOLS.

Hey guys, just thought I'd share a quick tip on how to find the make and model of a WPS enabled access point. This is done using a tool called WPSCRACKGUI. This is helpful when troubleshooting specific devices. Please note, I am NOT the developer of ANY of these applications! All credit goes to the team here. There are two options you have here.

First, you can download WPScan, which is strictly the program that scans all the APs for their information. I modified the language because it is originally in Spanish but I translated it into English. Be careful not to click any ads, ADBlock may come in handy here. Once its downloaded, simply unzip using:

    Code:
    unzip wpscan.py.zip
You may need to change that depending on where you downloaded the file to...

There is also a full suite that this program comes in, called WPSCrackGUI, which you can download here. Download the latest Debain file (make sure its Debain or it won't work with Kali) and follow these install instructions:

    Code:
    dpkg -i wpscrackgui_1.2.2.4-1_debian_Gambas3.deb
*Edit this as needed for newer versions*

Then, navigate Applications>Internet>WPSCrackGUI. It will be in Spanish again so if you wish to put it in English, click "Idiomas" and select "Ingles."

The full suite comes with a variety of other tools to aid in cracking APs such as keygens, and automated cracking tools.

As stated earlier, I am not the developer of these applications. If you find any problems, report them to the actual dev. Only leave questions if you have trouble installing. Good Luck!
