    Question What's your boot time?

Hello everyone. I've been having quite the slow boot time. Around where I bolded it seems to really slow it down. Is this normal? What's your boot time?

  2. From cold boot to log-on screen takes roughly 1 minute for me. If you like to make things a bit faster you could always disable startup services. The startup scripts are located in the init.d folder. The easiest way to do this, while also making it easy to re-enable the scripts is to use a simple startup manager. I recommend one called rcconf, simple to use, and easy to understand. However, before so take a look at this page for other options. http://www.debianadmin.com/manage-li...p-scripts.html
You might be having a slow down because your networking is initializing?

Thank you for your help. I do have another question though. During install it was asking me to install some non-free drivers. Do you think it may have to do with those? How would I get them?
