Win-kex looks like a clever solution, if I can get it working. I've been trying to follow the instructions at, but:

1) Those give the commandline invocation as "win-kex"; I believe it should just be "kex". Pull request submitted.

2) It's currently coming up as a black screen. I'm betting that this is because I got distracted and didn't set "public" on the Windows Defender permissions. Trying to find it now in the firewall config to fix that, but I'm not seeing it; if someone can give a hint about what name it appears under, I'd appreciate it.

(Of course, if MS would just include X support in Windows...)
