I followed the instructions on making a bootable kali usb.
This works fine on a windows laptop.
I installed refind on a macbook pro
MacBookPro4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 6 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B03

This macbook has had its cd rom removed and an ssd inserted.
Refind will come up when pressing the 'c' key
Two new boot options will present themselves when the kali usb is in:
EFI
legacy

Choosing efi
brings up the kali grub
I select live boot and then I see the line
loading boot options ''

and then it hangs.
Rebooting sends me into a crash reboot loop
I have to re-enter refund, select mac OS lion to get back to mac.
(I think once I tell refund I want to bot into the usb stick, it automatically goes there and just keeps crashing)

I read this thread

https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...-while-booting

I noticed on my usb stick there is no EFI/BOOT/grub.cfg file
I made one using the code on that thread.
