Hi @Subnet just do one thing. Just check if the key is recognized. Firstly verify that if Kali Linux detects the key at all:
xev | grep key
If there’s output, the key is recognized but might not be mapped correctly. You have to map it correctly.
If there’s no output, the key might be disabled at the hardware or software level.
Let me know what’s the result. Then I can guide you further.
My asus software stop the windows key
Yea, I was just about to mention the asus gaming laptops have a game key that disables the windows key so you don’t accidently kick yourself out of a game. Thought my laptop was broken because of that myself.
