Black screen on launch

What have you tried: i tried to enter my login and password quick enough but i cant do all that in 3 seconds

What is the error: when i boot kali on virtual box for the first time i had tts and i asked chat gpt how i can disable that and it told me to run the command “sudo apt remove orca” in terminal and it still didnt dissapear so i restarted kali and then it would not show the regular login screen after the big kali glowing logo instead the screen is black and i see “login name:” and after 3 seconds it dissapears and the screen stays black and also when i enter my login name quickly it says “password” and disspaears so idk what to do

Well whats the full upgrade thing and after I do it and see what happened what after that

The full-upgrade is to guarantee that we are looking at a system that is up to date, and includes any bug fixes that were released up to know.

This might fix your problem, we do not know for sure without more information.

The tty session also allows you to look at log files, as the basic troubleshooting guide on kali.org tells you to.

No one can solve your problem, unless you figure out what’s actually wrong. This is bound to be something the log files can help to figure out.

could reinstalling work?

As long as we do not know what the problem is, your guess is as good as mine
