If the kernel is not available for your device, then you need to port it. It is there in the documentation about how to port the kernel to new devices.
“port” - that’s the word.
Well, if it is do-able I could try, if I get some assinstance in here?
Has anybody done something like that, and gan guid me thru?
Are there some tutorials for that? I often don’t find anything, cause I don’t know the right words.
But I got LineageOS 17 on a phone, and BlissOS on a old computer. - Years ago!
Could you please send me more information? Manuals, tutorials, and which custom ROM to “port”?
I read that.
btw. it is a Samsung SMA256B/DSN.
If somebody has done it, the must be a ROM for it?
Is anybody in here, who did it with this device, or can guide me thru?
I spend the past days for research. Couldn’t find any custom-ROM for my device.
There are for sm-A256E. But this was LineageOS and others.
I don’t want to use it with Google. So I have to do anything.
Is anybody able to help me thru this “porting”, for the first time on this phone?
porting to any device requires downloading the original source code for the phone, so a standard ROM this contains all drivers etc you will need for screen etc to work.
Best place to get started on porting for phones is the XDA website, which I’m sure you’ve already found, the nethunter side is compiling and testing a kernel, and for that view the Linux kernel docs to get an idea of what is involved, with that info and the official nethunter docs linked too, you have all the info you need.
compiling and testing ROM’s and kernels can take several hours over weeks often, so your unlikely to get help unless someone else has the same device and wants the same end result.
