What have you tried:Tried to follow the steps outlined in “Troubleshooting · Wiki · PipeWire / pipewire · GitLab” to get rid of the choppy sound when playing YouTube videos.
What is the error: Still the sound is choppy while playing YouTube videos (This was not case in previous versions of Kali (The choppy sound was resolved by following the steps outlined in the above mentioned thread)
What device is this on:windows 11 Pro 24H2 (Thinkpad P1)
This has been a known behavior when watching youtube videos (and some other browser watched video services) in a vmware VM for a long time now.
It’s not Kali-related. It happens in several other distros, too.
Some people reported to have found a solution in their situation, but none of the proposed solutions seem to solve it for everyone. Until such a solution emerges, either just watch videos on the host machine or look for several ideas online on how people tried to find a way around it.
