I recently downloaded the Kali Live 2025.2 amd64 live ISO from the link:
https://old.kali.org/kali-images/kali-2025.2/kali-linux-2025.2-live-amd64.iso
It seems to me that the information that it Live is essential.
I haven’t encountered similar errors in the installation versions (but I rarely actually use them)
It is used on my laptop. As everyone knows, laptop music is pretty bad..
Today I wanted to listen to music using my JBL GO 2. Probably the cheapest JBL model for 40 USD.
So, as usual, I typed in the terminal:
service bluetooth start
The device was found and paired correctly.
But to my surprise, there was no sound.
Normal sound from laptop is gone but nothing comes out of the speakers.
Selecting a different audio profile from the drop-down menu does nothing.
So I tried external bluetooth headphones instead. Sony for 300-400 usd or so.
The effect is the same. A quiet hum seems to be heard.
The same devices on Kali Live 2025.1c and earlier works flawlessly.
Apart from this there is yet another bug, but it also applies to Kali Live 2025.1c: I have SSDs (classic SSDs on serial ATA) and a USB adapter to plug them into my laptop. The disk appears in the file manager on the left panel, but when I click on it, a window appears saying that this disk cannot be mounted.
I checked several 2.5" SSD drives, and each gave the same error. These drives do not give problems with Kali Live 2024.4 and earlier (at least with 2024.x).
To let you know about the problems.
I can help you (the development team) to locate the problem.
If you have similar problems with Live 2025.x with USB drives or bluetooth devices, please write.
