Kali-Linux Boot Stick doesn't start

Hello,
I need help.
I’ve had a few PCs in my hands, but I don’t know what to do with these!
The PC is owned by my wife and belongs to her!

Unfortunately, the password for the administrator account is no longer known.
A USER account works and Windows runs without a problem.
But nothing can be installed anymore because administrator rights are required.

I want to back up the laptop with an Acronis 2020 boot stick.
I also want to reset the administrator account password with a Kali Linux boot stick.

When the Kali Linux stick is plugged in, nothing happens!
The BIOS shows the following with the Kali stick plugged in:

  1. Limpus Lite
  2. Windows Boot Manager
I tried both settings, but Kali doesn’t start ???

When the Acronis stick is plugged in:
The stick is addressed. The Acronis selection is displayed.
After selecting (1): “Acronis True Image (64-bit)”, the following error message is displayed after a short time:

Runtime error:
Error 0x1480017: Faild to verify the file signatures.
|line: 0x76df0d19c4c85667
|file: E:/bs_hudson/workspace/mod-acronis-loader/69/product/loader/efi/config.cpp:529
|function: Execute

|file: E:/bs_hudson/workspace/mod-acronis-loader/69/product/loader/efi/config.cpp:378

|$module: bootwiz_efi64_69

The Kali stick was made with the “Etcher” program and “kali-linux-2024.4-live-amd64.iso”.
The Acronis “Rescue Media Builder” stick was made with Acronis 2020 installed.
!!! Both sticks work perfectly on other PCs !!!

The laptop:
Model: Acer Aspire A514-53 x64
Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1190…
BIOS version: Insyde Corp. V1.16, January 18, 2021
SMBIOS: 3.2
BIOS controller version: 1.16
BIOS mode: UEFI
Board: Sneezy_IL V1.16
OS system: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 10.0.19045 Build 19045

I’ve been searching the internet for clues for days, but unfortunately haven’t found anything.
I would be very grateful for any helpful tips.

bro i think i can help you

watch this reels and reply me

Most likely you did not disable secure boot in your bios - Kali is not signed for secure boot, acronis apparently is.

Disable SECURE BOOT from your BIOS/UEFI

Download Ventoy

Create a USB with Ventoy

Download Hiren’s Boot CD directly to the Ventoy USB stick
https://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/

Boot your PC using the USB stick and chose Hiren’t Boot CD ISO file.

There are tons of instructions and tools to do so, I have used it several times and it works like a charm

I have to agree w/ you here on the efficacy of the Hiren’s Boot CD. It is a wonderful troubleshooting tool, and is still under support and regularly updated. Well maybe not regularly.
