Kali Purple for AMD64 not working with Parallels on M1 Mac

There is an ARM version of Kali available on the downloads page, that’s the one you should be using.

I do have the standard Kali working…it’s the Purple one - with the file name I listed - that Parallels thinks is NOT an AMD one.

your error message tells you it wants an arm version…

Indeed I do…and by the file name, it should have been…but in selecting it, Parallels thinks it isn’t. Again…as I mentioned…I was successful in installing the ARM version of “tegular” Kali…I just wanted to have the Purple version as well.

There is no ARM version for kali purple, too many of the tools are not supported for ARM architecture.
