Locked Kali Linux VM after being told system is filled up due to possibly installing certain software

What have you tried: Expanding the size of the Kali Linux, change the code that made up part of the system, I looked at Kali Linux forums, etc.

What is the error: I can’t login into my own Kali Linux even when I type correct password

What device is this on: Windows 64Bit PC

is this in VM software, using WSL etc?

If it really is locked, and wont even boot, you may just have to start again and install fresh.

I don’t know what WSL is.

what virtual machine host software are you using?

That means you are using a VM. Just for your information, WSL stands for Windows Subsystem for Linux is a feature of Windows that allows the use of a GNU/Linux environment within Windows, that means you can able to use Linux features, terminal, commands in Windows only.

For me the best part of it is you can able to install applications which supports Linux only.

I’m using VMWare Workstation.

Thank you for the information.

You can change the size of the drive in the vmware host software, then you’ll need to boot the vm from the kali live image to start gparted to expand the drive. You can’t expand the drive if it’s already running.

I’ll try that. I already expanded the drive more than once. So I just do the other stuff.
