Memory isses with kali live boot

What have you tried:Ive tried re partitioning the drive, deleting the image and re imaging the drive.

What is the error:
dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
unable to flush /var/lib/dpkg/updates/tmp.i after padding: No space left on device
Error: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
What device is this on: kali live boot 2tb thumb drive

Seems like you did not set up persistence, so while the usb drive may have plenty of space, the kali live image has none left.
