Power Manager quit working

What have you tried: I have reset all adjustments, rebooted, reinstalled power manager

What is the error: I don’t get an error, it just doesn’t work properly. I have it set to never shut anything down, but it goes to sleep after 10 minutes. Changing settings in the power manager does nothing. I am thinking about deleting the power manager and replacing it with the gnome power manager. This occurred after a crash of sorts, it was running fine, went and took a shower and came back to black screens and power was off. I have an HDD for storage that’s accessible to Windows and Kali and both lost access to the HDD, but a day later the HDD was accessible again. The power manager set itself to 10 minutes to sleep and shut down monitors. I checked and all the adjustment sliders are where I’d left them and Never go to sleep or shut down monitor . Power manager just isn’t working

I update and upgrade every day

What device is this on:Kali 2024-4, XFCE4, desktop

This happened to me. After making a fresh installation, I follow this as the first step and the problem is solved. sudo apt-mark hold xfce4-power-manager xfce4-power-manager-data xfce4-power-manager-plugins

Thank you. When I get home I’ll give it a try

I had the same problem. I have got KDE with xfce.
I suggest checking KDE power manager too, it can affect to xfce settings somehow.
