Problem with wifite

Hello guys, im new to the Kali Linux world and i was trying to see the people who are connected to my Wifi with wifite but for every thing he does goes timeout even if it sees the handshake captured, how can i resolve this? I’m using Kali on a Raspberry Pi 5 8gb

It doesn’t seem like you want to ‘see who is connected to my wifi’, but more, ‘I want to hack the wifi’, which is it?

two very different things…
first is just recon, second is trying to exploit it..
If your already connected to the access point you could use nmap to see whats connected to it;

if you have captured a handshake, you would then try and use this to work out the password for the network, this is done by calculating hashes and comparing them to a word list file, depending on if the password was in the chosen list, you may or may not get a match (i.e. the password)

Most routers / access points these days use WPA2 encryption and pretty random passwords, so the chances of gaining access with many of these wifi tools is actually pretty low nowadays. You have to change router password to something easy that would be in the lists, or downgrade encryption to say WEP, to run a ‘proof of concept’ hack.
