Xrdp not working as root user

A very silly problem, but with the default installation, XRDP login does not work for root, while it works for other users. How can this be fixed?

Kali has login as root disabled by default. If you want to enable it, there is a guide on kali.org.

(this might not be a good idea though)

Well. same issue (after installing the package). looks like xrdp bug or something.
