Always nice to hear from Musket Teams, thanks for the new code!
I recommend the OnePlus One, it's a premium phone with a large screen and a pretty good battery. Nethunter runs fine.
Is OnePlus 2 supported?
I have a Nexus 5, too, bought it because of...
That's strange, indeed!
@bigbiz: Do you have a modded verion of varmacscan or did you just choose the wrong thread? There is VMR-MDK-K2-2017R-012x2.sh inside.
Really?
It brings an ESP32. You can buy one for 4 dollars and check it out on your own.
For sure Kali will not run on it and for sure it'll cost more than an old but powerful Nexus 5.
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/AzureWave_AW-NU138
With Raspberry Pi the small but powerful Panda Wireless PAU05 is one of my favorites, RT5372 chipset.
That's impossible. You can't install Kali on an android tablet.
Wifite v2 (r87) is working fine on my nethunter nexus 5.
Obviously nexmon is not working correctly or even installed. Are you talking about Nexus 5 and using a binkybear-build with nexmon?
Sorry, I'm afraid I can't help. As far as I remember I followed Binkybear's instructions: https://gist.github.com/binkybear/8f0f4eee292d5263372f47c3c3edd08e
Yes, netmon is included.
On my Nexus 5 with Nethunter (Kali 2017.1 aka 3.4.0; Android 7.1 - Lineage OS) this does the job:
source monstart.nh
wifite -i wlan0
Are you trolling?
And please use search engines to find postings like. https://unofficialx102.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/uefi-secure-boot-and-the-x102/
I don't own an ASUS X102BA. RTFM (Page 100)?
Is Fast Boot enabled? Disable it.
Is CSM disabled? Enable it.
It's trial and error until it works ;)
^^ Enter UEFI/BIOS and turn off secure boot?
^^ Thanks a million! I'll check it out!
As easy as he could use Ubuntu, Debian etc.? Be careful with admin rights and use strong passwords.
If your infrastructure isn't secure it's not because of kali, I guess. But I'm not skilled at...
Debian is the OS 'for common users'. Kali is Debian modded for pentesting.
You are talking about a 'phone', so you are talking about nethunter?
You'll find all you need to know here: https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/wiki
I recommend supported hardware.
Oh, you're right: https://hashcat.net/forum/thread-2368.html

(Bytheway: This thread here is not the right place to ask about hashcat ...)
Error?
Nethunter has three components: 1. Custom kernel, 2. chroot, 3. app(s).
There is no custom kernel for yoga book.So use another device, a supported one:
...
As far as I can see there is no modified kernel for OPO 6. You will be able to install nethunter app and get the chroot running, but you won't be able to use external wifi, monitor mode and so on.
...
A 'best laptop to run kali on' does not exist.
Some people are looking for a workstation to use hashcat, some for a mobile device with long battery life. A bright full hd display can be useful for...
Just a side note: Kali is Debian, filled up with useful pentesting stuff. You don't want the stuff, so take a lightweight Debian (Lubuntu ...) and install Fluxion.
What about just denying...
I don't think so. But you can try a persistent live installation for that.

Thank you, guys! I could confirm the error for an SSD-installed Linux version 4.9.0-kali3-686-pae and for a Sticky-Finger's-Kali on Raspberry Pi 3B. Now I will try the solution.
That's a very unfair term for the fantastic - and free! - work @re4son is doing.
https://whitedome.com.au/re4son/
Does "ifconfig wlan1 up" change anything?
Sounds like UEFI-/BIOS-Voodoo. What Hardware do you use? Is it UEFI 64-bit only?
Sometimes a wrong version of twrp causes errors ...
Have a look at this thread: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?29679-Nexus-5X-Nethunter
There are several procedures of solution inside....
If it has to be very cheap you can try an adapter from Aliexpress with Ralink RT5370 chip. Search for "32812592282", 2,72 $.
No, it's not recommended. But maybe there is a way to use it.
TP-Link WN722N V1 is fine and was cheap. The Alfa stuff is really great. i would buy a Alfa AWUS051NH v2 now. But I'm using a ...
^^ Did you already try re4son's Sticky Fingers?
https://whitedome.com.au/re4son/kali-pi/
Read the first post.
Netmanmac isn't in the APT-Library.
^^ Thanks!

Marginal note: That's for 64 bit only.
For x86 use:
sudo wget https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/57.0/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-57.0.tar.bz2
It's there: https://download.lineageos.org/bacon
But I would try the newest nightly, first!
Good enough for what? Collecting data? All. Hashcat? None.
I guess you know already that there is a page with Kali images für Arm devices:

^^ Thank's a lot for sharing your solution and keeping the forum alive!
I'm sorry, can't help. There are already two threads:
https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?29581-Will-the-OnePlus-X-be-supported/...
I don't have a OnePlus X and I don't think it's the solution. But:
Install the Nethunter-Kernel before the chroot!
Try Phreya's files!
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=50950
Try small letters in terminal ;)
"evince -h" works fine here.
Strange. Kali has Evince document viewer for PDF.
I use Nautilus to locate a PDF, double-klick on the file, voila!
Not in this case ;)

I can't solve your case but I can confirm that I never had a problem with "adduser"/"useradd" and switching via GUI. I use it from Kali 2016.2 on. I used it with 64bit and am using it with Kali...
I got a Nexus 5 now and of course I wanna use internal monitor mode.

No, it's working fine here.
I reinstalled it several times because it tried to encrypt the phone. Encryption always failed but installation always suceed.
So I'm sorry I can't help.
Yes....
