I'm getting frustrated with having to blow away VMs and reinstall/repartition with what I think will be enough space for Kali and updating. The last VM was 30GB and when trying to update today it ran out of disk space again. I even threw all of my disk into one big / partition last time instead of creating separate /var, /home, etc. to try and keep this from happening. Using auto clean and other options doesn't really seem to help.

Does the length of time between updating cause the usage to increase due to the number of packages needing to be downloaded, cached, and upgraded?
Are there any other tweaks to settings I can use to keep this from happening?
