Hi, I'm trying to install Kali on Dual boot with Windows 10 and my PC runs on UEFI. The first thing I noticed after setting up USB bootable drive with rufus was that I cannot make GPT partition scheme. I went along with MBR for BIOS or UEFI, disabled secure boot and enabled legacy boot. (I figured that I'll enable secure boot whenever I'm not using Kali.) The installation was done manually from creating partitions myself to installing GRUB boot loader. I set /dev/nvme0n1p6 for GRUB (since I don't want to mess the default boot settings.) I'm currently stuck at the stage where I need to put GRUB into boot order.
I don't want to mess with OEM windows installation on my laptop as the product key was not provided. I'm also afraid installing GRUB in master boot loader will mess with the default boot order in the UEFI settings. I also intend to re-enable secure boot once kali is up and running. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
