What is segfaulting? Pyrit or oclhashcat? Post command output and what you have installed so far with the guides you used.
Not sure why it's not the newest. I'd guess none of the maintainers have got to it yet. You could request it in the Kali Linux bug tracker.
If you run an NVIDIA chip-set, you could use the .deb I...
Request it in the bug tracker
https://bugs.kali.org/
I certainly did.
I wrote a guide on this a long while ago. It's not the easiest to follow thing I've written but you will have Windows 10 + encrypted Kali booting at the end (works for EFI,...
post the output of
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
I'm going to need a lot more information than that. If you want help, post the outputs of the questions on the first page.
But from what I can see, you don't have an NVIDIA chip set.
I have dual boot (only kali is encrypted through). I had to leave /boot out of the encryption (which makes sense). / and the swap are encrypted though.
Change your sources file so it contains
deb http://http.kali.org/kali sana main non-free contrib
deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security/ sana/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src...
Silly question,
did you run:
apt-get update
After changing your sources.list?
post the result of:
cat /etc/apt/sources.list
Also, yo don't need to go and write:
cd /root/NVIDIA_CUDA-7.5_Samples/1_Utilities/deviceQuery/
optirun ./deviceQuery
each boot. The card is disabled to save power. You enable it with optirun....
That's normal. If you want to use the card, prefix the command you want with 'optirun'
For example, you want to play a game using the graphics card, rather than the intel card use 'optirun...
Hi Kalilinux0,
Looks like you are optimus enabled, follow the guide here:
https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?21956-(Guide)-Installing-Nvidia-Bumblebee-CUDA-for-Optimus-enabled-Laptops
Hi Rat,
Welcome to the forum. What is the error message you are receiving? What is not working? Can you use optirun glxspheres64?
Does CUDA work?
Also, modinfo nvidia-current should work
Hi sl1k3rx,
Welcome to the forum.
Are you sure you have an optimus laptop? I can't see your intel card in dmesg or lspci.
For example, mine shows:
root@kali:~# lspci | egrep 'VGA|3D'
That is a close call! I normally save the number crunching for my desktops with water-cooling for that exact reason. That, and you can't really compare the results from a full size card to a laptop...
Hey Quest, It's been a long time.
I made a custom deb for kali (cudahashcat-2.01) and updated second post. I'm not sure if anyone actually uses them that's why I stopped making them.

Hey guys,
If anyone is still having issues, I just re-wrote the first post.
If you follow it, you will have NVIDIA Driver 352.21 (from the repo) and CUDA 7.5.18 (from the CUDA site) after 22...
It's nothing to worry about.
So long as you have an nvidia driver, you don't need the one that is bundled with Cuda.
Edit: I just read what you said properly. You should have an option to not...
If you're seeing a key icon, I'll take a guess that you have gparted open.
You can't modify it cause its mounted.
Boot from a Kali Live USB, open gparted and then right click to unmount...
Hey guys,
I just finished building Kali 2.0 from source and installing it.
Unfortunately, this guide does not work with the included gnome.
I think it's related to this bug:

Hi there,
I haven't had the chance to be on much of late but as for the old instructions on installing from the repo:
This replaces step 9 of the guide on the first page. I had the wheezy-back...
Did you verify the sha1sum of the iso before you made the image?
What process did you use to image it on the cd
Are you efi booting or legacy booting?
That version of Libglib isn't in the Kali repo (if I recall correctly)
I was trying to install the latest xorg Intel driver from the debian experimental repo (this is a terrible idea, don't try...
Are you having trouble making multiple monitor mode interfaces with her airmon-ng or is your script not making them for you?
I have no issues making multiple interfaces and other airmon-ng
I guess I did have time... This will do what you want without the need of an external list.
#!/bin/bash
options=(adobe_reader.cache \
dobe_reader.mru \
adobe_reader.tmp \
apt.autoclean \
I didn't notice that you are not using all the clean options. I made one which will run clean on everything bleachbit offers but I'm out of time

I don't have Kali on my pi but I thought I'd ask,
Have you made sure the image you have downloaded has the correct sha1sum?
Are you running 32bit or 64bit Kali?
If 32bit, here is an extract from CUDA 7.0 release notes.
Support for 32-bit x86 Linux Systems
The CUDA Toolkit and CUDA Driver no longer support...
I used an xz compression method with dpkg-deb this time. It took an hour to pack but had significant savings in archive size. I planned to keep changing it up until I get it closer to the original...
cudahashcat 1.36 added:
https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?21956-(Guide)-Installing-Nvidia-Bumblebee-CUDA-for-Optimus-enabled-Laptops&p=35240&viewfull=1#post35240
Well, I package cudahashcat up and release it in my nvidia + optimus thread

Take a look in the fglrx cal++ thread in the community guide section. There is some discussion on getting multi gpus to work.
Hey there
I'm having massive issues with new Kali installs.
Are you EFI booting? I'm working through a bug with EFI where it wont install correctly in a dual boot environment. So far I have...
I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You have a NVIDIA GPU and have installed oclhashcat (oclhashcat is only for ATI devices)
You want cudahashcat. Where did you get the 1.36 deb for...
That's expected behaviour.
Not much point having an encrypted computer that automatically takes anyone straight to the desktop.
That one is an i7-2600k @4.5Ghz
@necrojones,
Thanks, I appreciate the comments. I havn't had the time to reply to as many as I would like as of late but yours is an easy one.
You have a typo in /etc/bumblebee/xorg.conf.nvidia...
Hey guys,
I need error messages, screen captures and output of dmesg. I can't really help if all I'm told is that it won't work.
I've written a guide here
https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?25180-(Guide)-Installing-fglrx-14-12-(omega)-on-Kali-1-1-0
Any issues, please post in that thread.
Hey guys,
I was asked for a write up on installing the new(ish) omega drivers on Kali linux. There are a couple of ways to do this, the easiest I found was using the Debian experimental repo.

Hi there,
I've been working on this a bit tonight and have some good news and some bad news.
The good news is, you can get second card to be just about the same speed as the first! See below...
Run top
Grab process Id of iceweasel
Run kill *process id*
Or... Restart your system
A . xz is an archive. Extract it first and then image it on your SD card.
7zip on Windows can extract it (cause you said you're using Windows)
Hi there,
Add a screen shot (blank out the ends of the Mac addresses)
I don't really understand your problem and that will help
Hey there,
I was able to reproduce this and am working on a fix.
I reproduced it through a manual loading and uploading of the driver. I'll let you know how I go.
First question:
Your poor performance is because you have a middle of the range laptop graphics card. It can't compete with middle or high range desktop cards It's also about 4 years old.
Second...
Hey there upinarms247365,
Thanks for the mention. I can see you have taken a bit from guide, couple of things you don't need in here as you aren't installing pyrit or running bumblebee
You...
Hey guys,
